Palaruffini was built in 1961 by the architect Annibale Vitellozzi in honour of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the unity of Italy.

In 2004 it received a massive renovation after more than 40 years of main sports events and music concerts.

On December 6th, 2019 the city of Turin named the Palaruffini hall to the basketball coach Gianni Asti, passed away in 2018.

It was the home ot the Turin Acro Cup from 2013 to 2024, except for 2015 edition where we moved to Palaghiaccio Tazzoli, and 2020 and 2021 that we suspended the competition due to covid restrictions.
